The Ylang Ylang tree is indigenous to the lush tropical forests of Asia. The large trees produce yellow blossoms with a potent floral fragrance. In the Malayan language, Ylang Ylang means flower of flowers.

Asian women have relied on Ylang Ylang for centuries as an aphrodisiac. Indonesian newlyweds traditionally place Ylang Ylang on the marriage bed and woman throughout Asia use the rich oil to maintain long, healthy, shiny hair.
