Absolutes are much like essential oils, because they are both extracted from plants. However, the method used during the extraction process is much different from that of the essential oil.

Essential oils are extracted using a steam distillation process. The process of extracting absolutes involves the use of solvent extraction techniques. This method of extraction creates a more concentrated and more fragrant version of the plant’s essence.

1) In the bath – 2 to 3 drops blended with a natural emulsifier and added to warm, running water

2) Blended with a Base Oil for body, massage or bathing oil

3) Steam inhalation – warm, moist Essential Oil-infused air inhaled to directly affect the mood and respiratory system

4) In a fountain, burner or diffuser for room Aromatherapy
